The Stonemont Chronicles
In The Stonemont Chronicles, you become the ruler of your own kingdom, Stonemont. Try to keep your empire for as long as you can by making important decisions using the help of you councillors. But beware: each councillor also has their own (more or less secret) personal agenda, and won't necessarily always advise you what's best for the kingdom.
Contents included in the box:
- Tons of scripted events (over 1000 lines of events in fact)
- Lots of easter eggs and references
- Dynamic event system where every choice matters in the end
- World temperature system: be aggressive to others and they will be aggressive towards you
Note: the web version uses WebGL 2.0, which isn't yet supported by all browsers. For the optimal experience, I suggest using the latest version of Firefox. Or you can also play one of the downloadable versions, they should be exactly the same.
The Stonemont Chronicles was made in about 30 hours for Ludum Dare 39 using Godot 3.0 (Alpha 1). The project files I've included might not work in other versions of the Godot engine. If you're also a Ludum Dare contestant, please leave a rating (and/or comment) on the game's Ludum Dare page!
Also, leave a comment telling me how many days you managed to survive :D

ahhh none of the mac or web versions are working for me. were the bug issues never resolved?? i'm so disappointed this game seems so interesting.
The game won't open in any of my browsers, including Firefox, and the Mac downloaded version also doesn't seem to be doing anything. It could just be that I'm shit with computers (thank you, IT GCSE!) but the game looks so good - GoT inspiration? - and I'd really like to play :)
Hi, there's a bug in the export tool for mac applications that I've used. I've filed a bug report with them so I hope this gets resolved soon. Unfortunately there is also a bug in the latest version of Firefox for macOS because of which the game also doesn't work there. It does work in the latest version of Chrome for mac though (60.0), if you happen to have that browser installed.
The Stonemont Chronicles' main inspiration is Reigns, but it does have some influences from Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings. It also contains some references to HP Lovecraft's work :)
